BIG4 Colonial Holiday Park

This is our second year in a row staying on a powered site and this year, we found it even better than last. Before we arrived, they had blower cleaned the slab - very nice! Bathrooms were spotless as was everything else, including the laundry. The dog park is wonderful and a place we could throw the ball for our boy. The location is excellent and reception/check in process was seamless. Even though it was the height of school holidays, it was peaceful, quiet and a lovely environment. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a cabin at this place. The place is more of a retirement village rather than a camping / kids and dog friendly holiday park. We have a small dog King Charles Caviller, he barked once and the residents started complaining about noise (@2pm) and asked us to keep the dog in the cabin. Not at all recommended for holidays with kids or pets. Not at all a friendly neighbourhood.

Very good place for camping if your are above 65 years old ... I will not recommend. Any one below that age to visit the place. Its basically old age camping village... We were not even allowed to do camp fire besides our tent. They have dedicated fire area which is small and only one group can accommodate and that too it needs to be vacated by 10 pm. Please its not atall dog friendly .... NO dedicated area for dogs to play... u have to tie and keep your dog at all the time. If your dog barks even for 1 min you will get a unfriendly oldie comming and barking at you. Some of the houses are occupied by residents they get mad at you if u walk dog near thier residence... My dog got depressed because of continues tie and no place for playing we finally left place in 2 days Residence living inside campus except all to go to bed by 9 pm.... basically its not place for vacation atelast with family and friends and ur dog. Toilets are good clean and maintained, receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Booked a 3 night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids (12yrs old) Thank goodness for the heated Spa and the beautiful pool area, the kids were happy. Really quiet area, nothing to actually do, but it's exactly what we needed!! Perfect for couples who want a nice in budget, quiet place to stay and explore the beaches, pubs and the fresh Oysters at Stones.
